Willsboro Dam on Boquet River Removed

Boquet River – Our book has been out only 4 months and already there are changes to WillsboroDam_400report. The Willsboro Dam, originally built in 1890s and in need of repair was removed in August at a cost of approximately $250,000 and opening up more than 30 miles of river to spawning salmon. The dam was originally built to power a mill and was located about 2 miles up the river in the town of Willsboro.
